Connect the drive to your computer, install the included software, and start using it. Our Data Storage devices are Plug-and-Play compliant, and do not require drivers.
Other versions such as OEM, or for users who have misplaced their original software, may require third-party software for Blu-ray features. Retail versions of these drives include the required software in the box ( DO NOT LOSE). Note: For users with new machines (first time using the LG Optical Disc Drive on this computer), additional software is required for Blu-ray playback/burning. Please uninstall/reinstall the playback/burning software to correct this issue. If experiencing issues related to DVD/Blu-ray playback or burning, your playback software may have been removed or currupted during the update from Windows < 10 to Windows 10.
LG Optical Disc Drives have been tested with Windows 10 and continue to be recognized as Plug-and-Play devices (no drivers required).
